Default A (alternate) timeline of events

The incredible number of myths and the unbelievable factor in it is kind of confusing. I have train myself to open mind to all possibilities and put official history (or general accepted one) at the same level as other versions more unbelievable and try to see a pattern and use intuition to find the closest one to truth.

As a general rule I tend to believe that official version of history is heavily manipulated to use specific purposes of the ones that rule the Earth (in a way or the other) thus tend to look more on the version that are "rejected" or ignored by officials.

I have come by accident to this version of timeline of events (a little like a Sci-Fi movie) and took the time and patient to read it all. It has similarities to other readings I had lately and is kind of pisses me off if this has even a little chance to be the truth.

Us being spirits made to forget each time we die and reincarnate on Earth over and over again, and prevented constantly to realize and understand ourselves made me think: even this has little chance to be truth I will consider it very serious.

You might be thinking I have some screws lose in my mind but imagine (forget logic) that this is the truth. Imagine for a moment that this is real story (or close to it). How would you react?
It is a role play situation. You just imagine this is a possibility.
Wouldn't you been pissed off and do something about it?
You probably do.

I am myself not letting this theory out of sight because even there is a slightly possibility that it is real I would do something about it. What? That is something else ...

Read more here about this alternate timeline of events
I have saved the text on that page as text file for offline reading too.

Damn if they did this to us for so long I will be very pissed, but probably don't do nothing to them just wake up and see from there what to do.
I feel (if we maintain this paradigm) we must be better then our jailkeepers and don't do the same to them.

The Popol Vuh, or Sacred Book of the ancient Quiché Maya, as it has been happily subtitled, is, beyond any shadow of doubt, the most distinguished example of native American literature that has survived the passing centuries. I am quoting however an interesting part regarding Gods motivation of creating us (if we accept as this being a creationist sacred book)

Quote:
  • But they could not understand each other's speech; they could succeed in nothing, and could do nothing. For this reason they were sacrificed, and the animals which were on earth were condemned to be killed and eaten.
For this reason another attempt had to be made to create and make men by the Creator, the Maker, and the Forefathers.
"Let us try again! Already dawn draws near: Let us make him who shall nourish and sustain us! What shall we do to be invoked, in order to be remembered on earth? We have already tried with our first creations, our first creatures; but we could not make them praise and venerate us. So, then, let us try to make obedient, respectful beings who will nourish and sustain us." Thus they spoke. Then was the creation and the formation.

I think everything is possible, because we can't realistically know what happened before our birth. We are born into this world, and then have to acquaint ourselves with it, learning about things through schools, media, relatives, and so on. The information we have access to largely determines how we perceive our world. History is a shaky ground of sorts, because we don't have enough information about times long passed. Like, you can learn something about WWII, if you can find someone who experienced it and who still lives and can talk about it, but the further you go into the past, the less information is available. From the Middle Ages, for instance, we only have a few bits of information. And anything beyond is pure speculation. Until we invent a time machine or something, we'll never know what life really was like. Scientists continue to find odd items in excavation sites, like notes from Roman soldiers that were pretty much like the writing we would find today. I find speculative pasts very interesting, especially if they can provide an alternative view on things!

Seth once said that the main purpose of the ancient times was to separate man from nature to develop aspects of his own mind (as opposed to feeling one with nature all the time). According to him, we're still in that period, but move towards a different period.

I read some portions of the Popul Vuh, and I noticed some similarities between that and the Old Testament of the Bible. Apparently, these books were created to preserve knowledge and provide guidance for the young.

Religious priests were the first philosophers, the first people that preferred being a thinker over physical labor. Hence, the animal and fruit sacrifices in the Bible, and the obligation to praise and nourish in the Popol Vuh. As long as people praise the gods (and honor the priests) and sacrifice food stuffs, the priests always have a living.

But, of course, the possibility exists that we have been created by an extraterrestrial species. The differences between animals and humans are minimal, but they do exist. Obviously, our minds work a bit differently and our body is a bit different as well. But animals also plan and pursue, and they can talk to each other in various ways. Still, none of the other species seemed to have come to invent writing and thus preserve knowledge for a long time, which made it possible to expand and build upon existing knowledge. When the memory of every generation is lost when it dies, then there is no progress, and everything starts again. The humans apparently have been the only creatures on Earth that have achieved this stage. With speech, there is only so much information that can be transferred across generations. With writing, there is much more.

Indeed, there are a lot of similarities between Popol Vuh and the Old Testament. They really make me think about the possibility that these "gods" were actually some advanced (probably extraterrestrial) beings, for two reasons: the repeated attempts (and failures!) to create beings that would "invoke, nourish and sustain" them and their (not that civilized) behavior towards those creatures (punishment, demand for obedience and sacrifices...) or towards each other (rivalry, fights, vengeance...). They seem to act more like world leaders, and not by far as truly superior spirits. The other possibility is that these very ancient sacred books contain a lot of complex information that was filtered (and lost/distorted...) by those who disseminated it, and that the stories actually reflect not the primitive behavior of the gods, but the primitive understanding of the humans who told the story. However, in this case, would the ancient Mayans and the ancient Jews, on different continents and in different periods, have made the same "mistakes" in their understanding, or their priests used the same manipulation techniques? Would there have been so many similarities, just by coincidence? I doubt it...

It could also be that trade was more far-reaching than current historians believe. Perhaps the religions have been exported between peoples long before the Spanish conquered Middle America (but the Popol Vuh could've been modified after that, in the 15th or 16th century already). The other way around is also possible: Perhaps the Native American tribes brought their religion to the Middle East while trading with those tribes.

What's also weird, are the similarities in the languages spoken across the world. Perhaps they also spread by trade, by migration, or something along these lines. Or does the Bible's statement that the people were dispersed across the world to speak different languages by a god hold truth?

There is a theory of a old culture in Europe of agrarian people (7k years ago) from whom in different periods of time groups of people migrate in different parts of Europe. From this protolanguage different groups have developed different languages but starting from same base words. This explains similar words in languages far geographically and the fact that agrarian related words are more or less the same in most of the EU languages. Interesting and very documented theory.

Now most of the Cristian celebrations come over some old local traditions that are still respected. Probably the only way a new religion can be embraced (building on top of local traditions).

Some things after some research become very plausible. But deluge or some of this old beliefs that have almost the same base (including Ghilgames ... ) apparently come back from time to time under new clothes.
Unfortunately written history older than some thousands of years we don't have (or it was intentionally deleted) so is only room for speculation.
Hope they open secret rooms under Cairo's Pyramids or Sphinx (so they say) and reveal a longer history book than we have.
