Alien about me

If i don't look like an alien then i dont know who does!, the Chira Idea: The President goes on Nat. TV and Mandate (temporaily) that All Doctors and Dentists in the USA Voiunteer one day out of every 60 to tend to the needs of Poor people, so as to keep their lic. valid !!! This would be administered by their repective medical associations and they would do this in local schools of their districts.!!!
U see, the crime is that there are solutions to all of our human problems but only a few people have the brains to think of the soulutions and then they are not heard or understood!!! I am a student of George Carr, a great American who was ignored he had the "G...Soulutions" which some out their where privledged to read back in the 1970s, i dont know what happen to him, then he lived in Long Bch, Calf. I lost contact with him yeas ago, he was then about 80 years old, i think he might have died, he did have a son, but, rarely talked of him, if anyone out there has any info on him i woud like it sent to me, i guess my new email is arihc@live.com, sincerely Yours, David Chira, The Villages, Florida (Central Florida)

Welcome to VA David.

Indeed there are many solutions if you think out of the box. I would have propose that all people volunteer for one day. Why only doctors and dentists...
Maybe to make world wide volunteer day, when all people will volunteer. I am thinking mostly on banks, insurance ... and other businesses making allot of money. Why only us who work to do this volunteering ...
Good luck with your search

It would be too combersome for everyone to volunteer, it would produce chaos, to start with Doctors and Dentist must have a Lic. to operate and to keep their lic. valid they would have to volunteer, Most other people are not highly skilled and would only get in the way, however, their are others that could volunteer if they had something to offer, anyway good try Klatuu, next time think it through.

Why only high skilled are helpful? The "less skillful" can lend a hand too.
Some can get in the way but is just a management problem.

agree with Klaatu not only high skills are needed or helpful to be share..

With that thinking Chira you will create very claiming attitude "im the poor one (poor in meaning no skils) thus its ME that need help, and dont expect anything FROM me"

The part I dont agree is that overall "its just a management problem " And big brains that "thinks out the solution very often totally skips the executional part. You know the common saying from marketing when the business goes down? "the idea was great however execution failed". Same rule apply

For me exactly the problem is not in "not existence" of solution but in its execution... Even great theories has obstacles when it comes to turning it to life.

And when it comes to volunteering - as many people u will have that many attitudes toward helping the other. No way for me to institutionalize is. And "forcing" somebody to make upper goods (like licence valid only if some hours worked with poor people) always turns in looking for "escape". Look how donations for outside government agencies are growing when taxes are lowered (thus people are left with more money for their personal choices) vs. keeping those institutions just on governmental payslip.

Its overall evidenced that if you are left with FREE will to help the other it comes always in greater size etc ... And better is to create the awareness that you can choose the Doctor that helps the other for free (even if it means he will charge you a bit more to have "money" for free treatment of poor people) - or the Doctor that have paid practice only. I bet outcome for first Doc would be better with both sides benefit (Doc pocket and poor's health).

I can imagine already forced Docs helping "for free" with in reality low intrest in health of patients thus missed some signs of diseases etc...
